Education and Childhood Studies
At Wrexham, delivering exceptional Education is one of our core values. We’re an institution dedicated to teaching and learning excellence, which is represented in the research we do and by the wide range of researchers across the University who have an interest in Education.
Within Education, our focus is on vital work with young people in schools and higher education, which aligns with the BA and MA in Education that we offer. We also focus on fundamental issues within learning but have specialist knowledge in applying pedagogical research to helping professionals and the local community.
We are strong proponents of the Welsh Government National Strategy for Educational Research and Enquiry (NSERE) and believe that all educational policy and practice should be informed by the best available research evidence. The Education Team are also involved in community research projects under our Civic Mission umbrella, such as evaluating our fantastic Children’s University and COVID19 recovery hub.
