| First Generation Opportunity Scholarship | Full-time | UG | £1,000 | 25% reduction in rent | A £1000 cash award, and 25% off Wrexham Glyndwr University accommodation for those who are the first in their family to go to University. This award and discount is for the first year of study only. There are a maximum of 10 scholarships available. Awards will be made based on expressions of interest sent to admissions@glyndwr.ac.uk after an applicant firmly accepts WGU’s offer to study. Applies to first year only. Applicants must indicate on their application (UCAS or Direct) if they are the first in their family to attend University. This is done via the answer to the question 'Do you or any of your parents, step-parents or guardians have any Higher Education qualifications, such as a Degree, Diploma or Certificate of Higher Education?'.
Applicants who answer 'no' to this question should then submit the expression of interest form via this link.

| Welsh Domiciled Part Time scholarship | Part-time | UG | £1,875 | Top up for welsh domiciled students who apply for £2,625 SLC loan and the £1,875 gap to tuition fee credited by WGU. | Career change or career loss scholarships | Full-time / Part-time | UG | £1,000 | A £1000 cash award, for those who have lost their job or become unemployed in the last 12 months. This award is for the first year of study only. There is a maximum of 10 awards available. Awards will be made based on expressions of interest sent to admissions@glyndwr.ac.uk after an applicant firmly accepts WGU’s offer to study. | Family support bursary | Full-time / Part-time | UG | £1,000 | A bursary of £1,000 per year to help with childcare costs. Students with pre-school aged children are eligible. Up to 10 bursaries available. Applies to first year only. Family Support Bursary regs 2023 | Applicants must have firmly accepted their application to study with us. | Accommodation - Refer a Friend Scheme | Full-time/Part-time | UG/PG | £100 off WSV accommodation for each student | £100 off Wrexham Glyndwr University accommodation in the Wrexham Student Villiage for both the referrer and the referred student. | Accommodation - 5% off for full payment up front | Full-time/Part-time | UG/PG | 5% discount off total price | Automatic discount for those who select to pay 40wk / 51wk contract in full when completing payment on the online booking portal.
