Enrolment confirms your status as a Wrexham University student and allows you to check that we hold the correct course and personal information for you.
You must enrol at the start of your course and re-enrol at the beginning of each academic year. If you do not enrol, your status as a student will not be confirmed.

Why enrolment is important
Enrolment confirms your status as a student and allows you to check that the University holds the correct course and personal details for you. You may also be asked to provide additional mandatory information.
Enrolment is also essential so that, where applicable, the University can report your attendance to external organisations such as the Student Loans Company, allowing an eligible loan or grant to be released.
During online enrolment, you must read and agree to the Student Enrolment Conditions and the University’s Student Privacy Notice. You cannot enrol on your course if you do not agree to these legal notices.
Step-by-step
How to complete online enrolment
Follow these steps when you receive your Wrexham University enrolment invitation.

Receive your enrolment invitation
Your Wrexham University enrolment email will contain your Student ID, which is also your Student Number, and instructions for creating your password.
The invitation will be sent to the email address provided on your application.

Create your password
Follow the instructions in your invitation to create the password you will use to access the eVision Student Record System.

Complete online enrolment
Log in to eVision and complete the online enrolment process.
Check that the University holds the correct course and personal details for you and provide any additional mandatory information requested.

Accept the legal notices
Read and agree to the Student Enrolment Conditions and the University’s Student Privacy Notice.

Complete the remaining enrolment activities
After completing online enrolment, work through the other required activities, including submitting a photograph and accessing your University systems.
It is essential that you complete online enrolment before arriving on campus.
Collecting your student card
Collect your student card from the Library and Student Support Centre between 9am and 4.30pm.
Bring a valid form of photo identification, such as:
- A driving licence
- A passport
Do I need my card during Welcome Week?
You do not need your student card to explore campus during Welcome Week. University buildings and the entrance and exit barrier will be open.
You will need your student card for class registration and, after your first week, to access University buildings. Keep it with you while you are on campus.
International Students
Students who hold a Student Visa, have indefinite leave to remain or settlement status, or are otherwise subject to immigration control will receive an individual email from the Immigration Compliance Team.
This includes students with immigration permission such as:
- Spouse or dependant status
- Refugee status
- Short-term study permission
- Tier 2 permission
The email will invite you to a specific enrolment slot for international students. If you receive an invitation, follow the date, time and instructions provided in that communication.
You must bring the following documents when collecting your student ID card and reporting to the International Office on campus:
- Your current visa permitting you to study in the UK
- Your passport
If you receive an individual appointment from the Immigration Compliance Team, follow the instructions in that email.

When will my attendance be confirmed to the Student Loans Company?
The University can confirm your attendance to the Student Loans Company after you have completed enrolment and from the first day of term.
Student Finance must also have completed and approved your funding application. If you have been issued with a Declaration Form, this must also have been returned.

What is the enrolment deadline?
Complete enrolment within two weeks of the start of your teaching timetable.
A new student who is not registered within two weeks of that date will be withdrawn from their studies.
