  • How do I get accommodation?
  • How do I pay?

On accepting a room offer, you’ll either have to pay a £250.00 prepayment if you’ve selected a week (51/40 week) contract or the full payment for the semesters 1/2.

The week contracts are then followed by three instalments that are automatically taken in October, January and April.

(Note, the card details used to pay the prepayment for the week contracts, will be stored in our system, and will then be used to pay the instalments of accommodation fees later).

  • what is a prepayment?

A prepayment is a payment that you make before you arrive to secure your room offer.

It is not a deposit. The amount will be deducted from your last instalment.

If you have paid your prepayment and then decide not to stay with us, you will only receive it back if we are able to back fill your room, which we can't guarantee. The more time we have to do this, the better.

  • Do you have accessible rooms?

YES - Although we have a limited number of these. Please indicate on your application that you require one of these rooms.

  • Can I apply for accommodation without a confirmed place?

YES - As long as you have your student ID. We send out room offers in August.
If you find alternative accommodation or you don’t receive a place, please email us
accommodation@glyndwr.ac.uk to let us know asap.

  • Can I put down preferences on my application?

YES - We try our best to accommodate any preferences you’ve put in your application, although we can’t guarantee them - (same-sex flat, quite flat, is learning drums!) if your preferences don’t fit within the boxes provided, you can put down any preferences you have within the note section.

  • Can I change my preferences?

It may not be possible to change your preferences as your accommodation may already have been allocated. If it has not yet been allocated, we will try to do this. Please contact us with your name and your new preferences.

We try our best to accommodate preferences, but we can’t guarantee them. We also need written confirmation from you. This can be emailed to accommodation@glyndwr.ac.uk.
