  • HOW TO APPLY

You will need your Wrexham University Student ID. This is your is your unique applicant number (‘S’ followed by 8 digits).

You will have received, or will receive, your Student ID once you have been offered a place at Wrexham University. If you have not yet been offered a place, please wait until your offer is confirmed before applying for accommodation.

If you have been offered a place but can’t locate your Student ID, please contact our Student Administration team at studentadministration@wrexham.ac.uk.

How do I apply for accommodation?

If you haven’t already registered, you’ll need to create an account first and then submit your application.

Applying for September - Once we have verified your application and sent you out a room offer (expect this mid-August), you will then have 14 days to accept the room and at that point you’ll either have to pay a £250.00 prepayment if you’ve selected a week contract or the full payment for a semester 1.

(Note, the card details used to pay the prepayment for the week contracts, will be stored in our system, and will then be used to pay the instalments of accommodation fees later).

  • ELIGIBILITY

Our rooms are so popular that, unfortunately, not everyone who applies will get a place. We, therefore, work to a system that gives out rooms to those who need them the most. This means that priority is given to students entering their first year of study who:

    • Are on a full-time course at Wrexham University.
    • Have never studied at Wrexham University before.
    • Live too far away to be able to commute or find private rented accommodation.
    • Have particular social and/or physical needs.

    Or students who:

    • Are enrolled on the 3 year International Nurse Training Scheme

Returning students may apply for university accommodation for any surplus rooms that may be available.

We operate a fair allocation policy that does not discriminate on grounds of race, colour, religion, ethnicity, sexuality, age, gender or disability.

  • ACCESSIBILITY AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

If you have a disability or long-term medical condition and you require adjustments it is essential that you contact the Residential and Campus Life team accommodation@wrexham.ac.uk prior to submitting an application to discuss your specific requirements.

We can only make you a room offer once we are able to confirm that appropriate accommodation is available and reasonable adjustments can be made. We may be able to offer you accommodation for the duration of your course but again this will need to be considered and agreed prior to making a booking.

Please be aware due to possible changes in the portfolio this may not be the same accommodation each year

If you have a personal support worker who will be enabling you to live independently at university, we can also provide a room for them (the full cost of this room will be payable).

To ensure you receive the appropriate support with your studies, it is recommended that you contact the Inclusion Team and inform them of your disability and the adjustments you require. Further information about the team including their contact details is available at https://wrexham.ac.uk/student-support/inclusion/

  • PREFERENCES AND ALLOCATION

    Can I list preferences?

We advise you to include any preferences you have. While we can’t guarantee them, we’ll do our best to accommodate your choices.

If you have a preference that is not one of our boxes to tick, please input your request into the notes section of your application.

Please note, we do not allocate on age, gender or religious belief.

Can I apply to live with friends?

Yes. If you’d like to be allocated a flat with a friend or group of friends, please choose a GROUP CODE WORD together and include it in the notes section of each application within your group.
